Havelhöhe, anthroposophic hospital, is rated excellent

Feb 07, 2022

The anthroposophic community hospital, Havelhöhe, has come in at first place in a new study of the hospitals in Berlin. Nationwide, it is among the top five in a comparison of hospitals in 15 major German cities.

The study was created by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) on behalf of the news channel ntv.

In cooperation with IGES Institute, a private research and consulting company for infrastructure and health issues, DISQ analysed and evaluated the 2019 quality reports of 323 hospitals. Five criteria were evaluated, of high relevance to services and quality, such as the number of interventions, the frequency of complications and the degree to which the lower limit for nursing staff was met.

The top 90 hospitals were then the subject of an additional service analysis, whereby DISQ carried out mystery tests by telephone and e-mail, with specific questions about a hypothetical future stay in the hospital stay. In addition, the websites of the hospitals were evaluated based on user reviews. 1,350 contacts with the clinics were included in the service evaluation.

This is the first study of its kind and it provides a meaningful view of the hospital landscape in the major German cities.
