ECHAMP’s annual report profiles an important year for the industry for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products; an industry that continues to serve the millions of European citizens who choose and have confidence in the use of homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products as part of their health care.
2023 was an important milestone on the international stage, as both the World Health Organization and the G20 leaders gave formal recognition to the potential of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine to contribute to broader healthcare goals, setting a positive global context for these medicinal products.
David Reckeweg Lecompte, President of ECHAMP, said, “Global and European developments present a strong context for the sector for homeopathic and anthroposophic medicinal products. As we look forward to the European elections, we call on MEPs for their support in protecting access to these medicines.”
The sector benefits from the extensive expertise and experience of ECHAMP and its members, built up over many years of close collaboration, powered by the dedication and efforts of all those within it – industry, patient, prescriber and scientific associations – and from committed politicians and policy makers, working at national, European and international level. The report shows how industry and stakeholder associations collaborate closely to ensure the continued supply of high quality and affordable homeopathic and anthroposophic products for the European citizens who choose to use them.
