Slovenia: new law on CAM

A new draft law will extend the regulation of the practice of complementary medicine in Slovenia.

The Slovenian parliament is proposing to adopt a new law on complementary, traditional and alternative forms of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. This will widen the scope of existing law, so that the practice of complementary medicine modalities such as anthroposophic medicine, ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine will be regulated in the same way as acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic and osteopathy. Only certified medical doctors are permitted to practice these therapies.
