- Have their registered home office and main residence located in one of the Member States of the EU
- Are able to assure full compliance with the goals of ECHAMP as laid down in the Articles of Association and the Code of Ethics.

The vision to explore new paths in the production of therapeutic remedies guided Dr. Rudolf Hauschka in the early 1920s when he laid the foundation for what is now WALA Heilmittel GmbH. Rudolf Hauschka developed a special manufacturing process which allows stability of watery plant extracts. Today, the company manages three brands: WALA Medicines, WalaVita and Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products. WALA cooperates with sales partners in more than 40 countries around the world. |

Weleda AB

Weleda, Sweden was founded in 1958 and has since then produced, imported and distributed anthroposophical remedies throughout Sweden. In 1995 a newly built production facility with GMP-standards was brought into use in Järna. The main volume of remedies are prescribed by medical doctors, many of them connected to the anthroposophical hospital, Vidarkliniken, in Järna. Anthroposophical remedies are specifically mentioned in the Swedish law and the Ministry of Health (not the regulatory authorities) have granted the marketing authorisation for the right to produce and to sell the anthroposophical remedies. |

Weleda Germany, founded in 1921, is a subsidiary of Weleda AG Arlesheim/ Switzerland and employs about 740 people. At our main facility in Schwäbisch Gmünd we develop, produce and distribute our medicinal products, body care and cosmetics for the purpose of health and recovery. About 3500 different medicinal products are available from Weleda Germany according to the homeopathic, phytotherapeutic and anthroposophic approach of medicine. |

Activities for anthroposophic medicines started around 1925 in France thanks to a small Weleda subsidiary. Nowadays Weleda France is the second biggest Weleda unit with 250 employees. In 2002, its turnover was about 25 million euros and 18,000 of the 23,000 pharmacies in France sold Weleda remedies. |
